For the first installment of this project I ventured out on the streets of Sacramento during the Second Saturday art walk. I spent several hours on Saturday night on J street near the corner of 21st and photographed portraits of people who were interested in participating. Each of the participants will receive a free photograph from their portrait session.

These photos were taken on March 14, 2009 on J Street between 21st and 22nd in Sacramento. There are 36 images in the three posts that follow.
